Score kills are the most common way to earn XP for Call of Duty multiplayer. While Modern Warfare 2 is now in the news, many still enjoy Vanguard.

Many are hopeful that Sledgehammer Games will end the Vanguard cycle after four and a quarter seasons of relative disappointment with the Season 4 REloaded update.

Players continue to fight to outgun one another, but one player decided to try something different to raise their level. The player reached the tenth Prestige without shooting a gun.

Vanguard Player Attains Highest Level with No Kills

Without Double XP, it can be not easy to complete the levels. Players can unlock various weaponry and cosmetic items by topping the scoreboards.

One player is not going for the kills. He has opted to take a different approach to levelling up in Vanguard. Redditor Pilgore1 reveals that they have reached the tenth Prestige without scoring single elimination.

The impressive feat is highlighted in the Combat Record, which also shows 458 victories. Many players were puzzled about how they achieved such high levels while avoiding Call of Duty’s core mechanic.

They revealed that a lot of XP can be obtained by “playing objectively and destroying killstreaks”, which is something players should do more than focusing solely on getting the most kills. Although the feat required over 600 games and three days of gameplay, it was not an easy task. It is quite impressive to achieve a win-to-loss ratio of 2.35.
