Ska Studios has published Salt and Sanctuary, a 2D action role-playing video game. Players can use 600 items. Each weapon category has special movesets, including air attacks. Two-handed weapons are available for players to use, including shields that can be used to defend or parry. You can also use magic and ranged attacks.
RPG concepts like origins, classes, stat development, and skill tree provide hundreds of combinations. There is also a multiplayer option and asynchronous features like messages that can be exchanged between players. Multiplayer is available for cooperative and versus play but it is only local.
