Pokemon Presents: Next Week’s Showcase of Diamond & Pearl Remakes and Legends Arceus
It’s hard to find a way to end the week without an announcement. Nintendo and the Pokemon Company will be hosting a second Pokemon Presents presentation next week, focusing on the upcoming RPGs Pokemon Bright Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Next Wednesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. Pacific/9:00 p.m. Eastern will be the stream. The Japanese Pokémon Twitter states that the stream will last around 28 minutes. Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond appear to be standard remakes from the original DS games. Pokemon Legends explores the region of Sinnoh long before the Pokemon League was even a thing. There’s more mystery about the game that can be discovered at such a showcase.
The Diamond & Pearl remasters and Pokemon Legends have already been released. The Switch RPGs will launch on November 19th and 28th, respectively. This series is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary with games such as these and New Pokemon Snap. The Pokemon Company has collaborated with artists such as Katy Perry, Post Malone, and Vince Staples to create musical tributes.
The Pokemon Company has confirmed that this is what they are working on, but it seems like Netflix is also developing a TV series that will be live-action. It is unclear what or who it will be about, but I would love to see more stories set within Detective Pikachu’s Ryme City. This is still one of my favorite versions of the universe.
