Arceus Bless, HMs Willn’t Return in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Remakes
One of the most important questions, when Pokemon Bright Diamond and Shining Pearl were revealed as faithful remakes for the original DS games as if they would bring back HMs. These are attacks that different Pokemon can learn that could be used to navigate through environments or overcome obstacles. They were eventually removed from the series because they took up too much space. This wasn’t the case with the original Diamond & Pearl. It was a legitimate concern that the outdated system might be back in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. A new trailer has shown that it won’t.
New footage has been shown in the trailer for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. You can see how your Pokemon go about their day, including making Poffins and walking around Amity Square with them. It’s also confirmed that HMs can be accessed via an app and not taking up a spot in any of your Pokemon’s previous moves.
Shining Pearl and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond were not the only Pokemon games to get an update today. We also received a trailer for Pokemon Legends which featured “Noble Pokemon,” which appear to be boss battles in open-world. This was illustrated by Kleavor, a new Pokemon from the Hisui region that will one day be known as the Sinnoh area.
The Wardens were also shown. They are trainers who protect specific Pokemon and character customization options.
