PlayStation Showcase: Alan Wake Remastered Gameplay Trailer Revealed
Although most people know this already, Remedy Entertainment announced that Alan Wake Remastered would launch Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
The complete Alan Wake experience will be featured in the game, including two expansions: The Signal (the main game) and The Writer (the second game). The game will be available for long-time and new fans alike via the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and, for the first time in the franchise’s history on PlayStation consoles.
Alan Wake Remastered brings next-generation technology to the classic thriller for “a more beautiful and immersive experience than ever,” including refined cinematics and textures, facelifted character models, and support for up to 4K/60fps graphics. In addition to visual enhancements, Alan Wake Remastered includes all-new commentary from Sam Lake too. Sam Lake talks about game development. And who wouldn’t love to listen to that? Alan Wake Remastered is a troubled author, Alan Wake, who embarks on a desperate search for Alice, his wife. Wake discovers pages from a horror story that he supposedly wrote and is forced to question his mental state as the story unfolds before his eyes. Wake is forced to confront the darkness using his flashlight, his handgun, and his shred mind.
