Official sunsetting of the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online
The Pokemon Company revealed the forthcoming Trading Card Game app Pokemon Trading Card Game Live on September 20. Pokemon TCG Live is very similar to the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online. TCG Online players were left wondering what would become of their accounts. Since then, the Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon TCG Online will be ending with an online FAQ.
Pokemon TCG Online Sunset – What happens to my account?
All accounts from Pokemon TCG Online will migrate to the new app. Because most things in the world of Pokemon use the Pokemon Trainer Club, you will keep your Trainer Club login and log in to the new Pokemon TCG Live App when it arrives. The old Pokemon TCG Online app will be closed before the new one launches. However, once you log into the new app, most of your cards, decks and coins will be there waiting for you. Some items are not transferable like avatar items or unopened bundles. You should open boosters and bundles as soon as you can. Check out the Pokemon FAQ to find out what can and cannot be transferred.
Pokemon TCG Online Sunset – When will it happen?
Although there is no specific date for when the Pokemon TCG Online servers are going to be closed, it will happen closer to the launch Pokemon TCG Live. TCG Online will still be available during the testing period for Pokemon TCG Live. However, it will be shut down before the official launch of new app to allow enough time for accounts and data to be transferred to the new Pokemon TCG Live servers.
Pokemon TCG Live: When will it be released?
This news is still early so there is no official release date. We do know that the soft launch will take place in Canada on mobiles, as well as a global beta for PCs and Macs later in 2021. This could suggest a launch in early 2022.
