Official Announcement of Ren & Stimpy as Part of Nickelodeon All-Star brawl’s Roster

A trailer shows that Ren and Stimpy, from the 90s, will be joining the packed line-up at Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl. The Manx and Chihuahua cats will be among other icons like Nigel Thornberry and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Nickelodeon announced that Ren & Stimpy would be joining the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The trailer for the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available on IGN’s YouTube channel. It not only announces the arrival of the raunchy pair but also shows off some of their moves.

Stimpy’s first action is when he throws a log at Ren as a projectile move. The lovable Stimpy then swings Ren upwards to attack, much like how Banjo swings Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Stimpy can also use his tongue to launch Lincoln Loud, a vulnerable person, into the air. Another clip shows them jumping into a small car to drive into Lincoln, Michelangelo and other people.

The trailer shows that the canine and feline will behave similarly to the Kazooie and Banjo. Stimpy takes on the role of Banjo, while Ren is the Kazooie. Ren acts as the secondary attacker. Ironically, they have reversed their roles from their cartoons. Ren is the one who plans and executes the moves, while Stimpy is a subordinate underling.

The cartoon featuring Ren and Stimpy aired from August 11, 1991, to October 20, 1996. The cartoon was aired on Nickelodeon’s kid-friendly network. However, it faced numerous controversies because of its lewd and crude content. This included suggestive humor and humor that many parents felt were inappropriate for children. Many segments of the show were censored or removed from broadcasting because of these controversies. Despite all the scandal and outcry, the show still received favorable ratings. It has a good score on sites like IMDB and Rotten tomatoes.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlhas not yet been released but will be out later in the year. Please keep checking back for updates on this crossover fighting game as they become available.
