Iron Veins in the New World – Locations of Iron Ore

New World has a lot of crafting and it can be difficult to track down resources such as Iron Ore. This is especially true when you first set out in the world. You’ll need to know where to find Iron Veins if you want to become a miner, or smelting ore or crafting equipment.

Before we get into the details of how to locate New World Iron Ore Locations, let’s talk about tools. While some games allow you to extract resources from the land, others require you to have a pickaxe in order to mine Iron Veins. When you are instructed to make your skinning knives, you can easily make one at the campfire. You will need the same materials for all basic tools.

Once you have your pickaxe, you will need to travel to the Highlands shown on the map. This is where Iron Veins are spawned in New World. Zoom in on the map to see that different areas of the globe are painted with different colors. The Resource Locations button on the left opens up a legend.

Highlands are painted in a darker brown shade. Eldergate is to the south from Windward Hamlet. Iron Veins are rarer than the boulders that you can mine for stone. If you don’t find them immediately, you should head there. The fact that there are more players currently mining them could make this situation worse. After a person harvests a resource it vanishes for a time.

From what we know, you are more likely to find New World Iron Ore sites closer to the Highlands and their caves. You can return later or set off to a different area of the map if none are available. Highlands can be found in many regions. You can use your map to locate the area.
