ICYMI: This is Everything from Nintendo’s September 2021 Direct

The Nintendo Switch platform holder gave their first major Direct since E3, focusing mainly on the remaining lineup for 2021, but also making some exciting announcements about the future of Switch. You missed the live stream. We’ve got you covered.

  • The show starts with more Monster Hunter Rise content. This stream has been steadily increasing since March’s release. This trailer shows Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak coming Summer 2022. It seems like an Iceborne expansion to the game.
  • Mario Party Superstars unveils “new” returning boards like Woody Woods and Yoshi’s Tropical Star. There is also Horror Land and a minigame-only mode that offers seven courses. Superstars will be released on October 29.

  • Voice of cards: The Isle of Dragon Roars is a new Square Enix card game featuring Yoko Taro, Creator and Keiichi Okabe’s music. A demo of the game is available now.
  • Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is now available on Switch. A digital version will be made available in October 12. The physical version will be made available in 2022.
  • Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity fans can complete the DLC by finishing the story scenes and closing out the alternate story. On October 29, new characters will join the fray.
  • The first ever Chocobo Racing game is presented. It will be available by 2022.
  • On October 5, the final Super Smash Bros. character is revealed, concluding the DLC.
