Apex Legends Players Can Chase Ships In Duos in GTA Style
Despite recent problems with the game leading some players to consider going on strike to refuse to play it, it seems that there are still people enjoying Apex Legends.
This fun is possible for a few players by teaming up with friends to play in duos or trios matches. It can be a refreshing change from the standard Apex games, assuming you are looking for that.
A recent duos match gave one couple the chance to introduce a taste of the GTA series to their favourite battle royale game. As a Reddit thread illustrates,
High-speed pursuits aren’t just a GTA thing!
Thechosencheese posted a clip of them and their friend jumping into a trident to start this thread in the Apex Legends subreddit. It also included machine gun fire and chasing down other pairs.
This post received many responses from other players, who wished for more trident-based encounters within their duo’s games. CallMeNurseMaybe said: “Honestly, I wish this happened more often in matches. Since before Olympus was launched, I have been playing, and I believe I may’ve been involved in a trident chase once. Zizakkz added: “Never saw one (in progress),” and Zizakkz said: “Never had this happen, and I’m incredibly jealous. It looks great to be part of either trident.
Some other players offered explanations for why trident chases are so rare in-game. electrapng suggested that: “I think that the part that makes tridents attractive (and trident goofiness such as this so rare) is that the trident takes damage, rather than the trident having a health pool.
Although this seems like a great way to encourage more players to use tridents in Apex, some users suggested that this could lead to Apex becoming too similar to Call of Duty Warzone and Halo.
Another user also presented their arguments in favour of expanding trident usage to include a racing-style mode in which weapons remain permitted. This is a bit similar to GTA Online’s GTA Races.
User fuzioncold92, however, compared CallMeNurseMaybe’s clip to a classic game and declared: “bro Simpsons Hit and Run remastered.”
